Chris is responsible for driving the development of the world-class health and wellbeing innovation ecosystem at the Park, attracting global corporate partners and investment into property, digital infrastructure, and venture building. He also has responsibility for the skills strategy including the digital workforce of the future as Chair of the NHS England UTC Digital Health Skills Steering Group.

Tom is CEO of Sheffield Technology Parks, a non-profit tech incubator and innovation centre located in Sheffield City Centre. He leads a team which works to enhance and support the digital, tech and science sectors in the city through a mixture of building management, business support, placemaking and economic development consultancy.

Amy Cooper

Onboard Skatepark Sheffield Ltd

Amy Cooper is a dynamic business leader with a strong passion for creating inclusive environments for young people. Originally the owner of a successful private nursery, Amy specialized in providing support for children with medical and physical disabilities, as well as early identification and support for neurodivergent children. After selling her nursery, she founded Onboard Skatepark as a tribute to her late father, who passed away from leukaemia. Onboard Skatepark has since become a beacon of hope and inclusion, offering young people a safe space to practice action sports and fostering a sense of belonging.

Amy’s work has earned her numerous nominations and awards, including the High Sheriff Award, Business Woman of the Year, Sports Woman of the Year, National HAF Winner for Community Specialist Club for Inclusivity, and the Move More Community Award. Amy is also a valued advisor on steering groups for SY-NC, Street Games, and supports grassroots organizations and community skateparks, helping them maximize their impact for local communities. Her leadership continues to inspire and empower the next generation.

Richard Caborn

Former Chairman of Olympic Legacy Park

Richard was elected in 1979 as a Member of the European Parliament for Sheffield and in 1983 he was elected as Member of Parliament for Sheffield Central, a seat that he held for 27 years until 2010. Under Prime-Minister Tony Blair he became Minister for the Environment (1997 – 1999), Minister for Trade (1999 – 2001) and Minister for Sport (2001 – 2007). At the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions he was closely involved with the establishment of the English Regional Development Agencies. As Minister for Sport he played a crucial role in developing the successful bid to bring the Olympic and Paralympic Games to London in 2012.

He was involved as an advisor in the development of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing and Sheffield University. He was also a Strategic Advisor to the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. Richard is also President of Work-Wise, an organisation that inspires and encourages young people in the pursuit of careers in engineering and technology.

In 2014 Richard was appointed by the Sheffield City Council Leader Julie Dore as an Ambassador for Industry and Business.

Included in that role was the Project Lead for the development of the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, on the site of the former Don Valley Stadium, a position he retired from in 2024.

Keira Shepperson

Director, Regional Funds, British Business Bank

Keira has responsibility for the original regional funds and will shortly take over responsibility for the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II at the British Business Bank. The Bank is a government-owned business development bank dedicated to making finance markets work better for smaller businesses.  In her nine years there she has worked across a number of teams and on various programmes. She previously held several finance roles at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for International Development and Audit Scotland and is a Chartered Accountant.

Place Brand and Marketing Lead for Sheffield
Marketing Sheffield

Mark is the place brand & marketing lead for Sheffield, the 4 th largest city in England, and the 2 nd greenest city in the world. Over the last 8 years and counting, he has worked in partnership with anchor institutions to embed, roll out, and continually develop the city’s brand. His focus, across trade, tourism, and talent, is simple: increase awareness and improve perception to drive willingness and grow economic value.

Mark’s career in brand and communications has included some of the world’s most renowned agencies on award winning work across all sectors – from re-branding Legal & General to overhauling Warburtons. He has a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Film Studies, and has worked on everything from film scripts to vineyards – even as a Ranger for the Department of Conservation in New Zealand.

Sheffield’s Health & Wellbeing: Driving Best Practice in the Workplace

A discussion on the key strategies and initiatives that support the working-age population across social, physical, financial, and mental wellbeing. This session will explore best practices, real-world examples, and innovative approaches to creating healthier, more resilient workplaces in Sheffield.

Beth is CEO at Sheffield Hospitals Charity. Prior to this, she held leadership roles at national and regional charities, and worked as a funding consultant and trainer. Passionate about the role of the charity sector in creating real social change, Beth is focused on developing a high performing charity to provide more support to Sheffield’s NHS. Beth holds an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management.

Beth has been leading the charity’s work to tackle health inequalities in Sheffield, including the recently launched campaign #NoWomanLeftBehind

Chris Bailey is a seasoned leader in Sport Development with over 15 years of experience. As CEO of Sheffield United Community Foundation, he has driven strategic growth through a people-focused culture, enhancing operational systems, financial sustainability, and workforce development. Chris holds several Chair positions, including Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Council, CIMSPA Sheffield Local Skills Accountability Board, Move More Active Communities and the SCCI Health & Wellbeing Consortium.

Emma Latimer

Executive Place Director
NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board

Emma Latimer hails from the North West of England, and her NHS experience spans 35 years and 12 years of leading commissioning organisations.

Emma was appointed as the Executive Place Director for Sheffield in July 2022. Emma leads the ICB Place Based Partnership in Sheffield.

One of her proudest career achievements was the establishment of Hull’s Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre that provides a community frailty service with GPs, community geriatricians, advanced nurse practitioners, social workers, pharmacists and other specialists all working together around the needs of the population.
